COMPANY NEWS: New Hires
We’re delighted to introduce Nyiko who joined the Multi Alloys team recently in a sales support capacity. The appointment was made in order to ensure we are better positioned to provide service to our customers and although a newcomer to industrial sales, Nyiko is already making a welcome contribution.
We wish you success in your new role as you embark on this journey with us.
Little background on Nyiko
Nyiko joined Multi Alloys on an annual experiential programme/learnership late 2019 after completing a 6-month work readiness at Afrika Tikkun.
The programme opens opportunities to students who have just completed their studies. We equip them with basic skills that are required in the workplace, and by the end of the programme if appropriate we may offer them the opportunity for permanent employment.
Nyiko who has a background in electrical engineering is excited about this opportunity. She mentions that she has grown so much in such a short space of time. At first it was intimidating not having the knowledge of the special alloys that the company supplies, but she took initiative, was determined to learn and with the support of her colleagues she is now enjoying being in the sales environment.
She enjoys interacting with different people in different roles. She is inspired by her co-workers but more especially her team leader Terry Larney, from whom she is learning so much, most particularly her product knowledge and experience. One day Nyiko would like to see herself with then same level of experience and competence.
Looking to the future, she says sales is a profession she sees herself growing into, and she feels she is where she is meant to be. 6 months ago, she did not envision herself working in the stainless steel and special alloys industry and this opportunity has given her exposure and clarity on what career path to follow. The future is looking bright and she gives thanks to MA for the opportunity and how they’ve welcomed her, she already feels at home.
