Stainless Steel Alloys

Stainless steel alloys are a family of iron-based alloys that contain a minimum of 10.5% chromium by weight. The addition of chromium creates a protective oxide layer on the surface of the alloy, which imparts its corrosion resistance properties. In addition to chromium, stainless steel alloys may also contain other elements such as nickel, molybdenum, titanium, copper, and others to enhance specific properties.

We offer a range of stainless steels (iron-based alloys) which have the:

a resistance to corrosion superior to that of the more common austenitic grades

superior resistance to high-temperature corrosion

or a combination of corrosion resistance and strength
